Newsletter Excerpt – 2024 Reflection from RIVA CEO, Amber Tedesco
As I sit at my desk, I find myself AGAIN asking: how is it already December?
I feel as though it should be September and not December. Unfortunately for me the very cold temperatures remind me what time of year it is!
With the year coming to an end, I want to extend holiday wishes to our clients, students, trainers, friends, and staff. Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope that each of you can spend time with those that bring you joy and hold a special place in your heart. It is also important to remember that some of us may be celebrating without those that once were around – Wishing that you find comfort in the memories you have.
With the New Year comes lots of feelings. We may experience excitement, the unknown, and even some surprises. I personally am looking forward to some surprises in 2025. What are you looking forward to?
For those of you who have come through a RIVA Training course in 2024, I want to thank you for your feedback on our course evaluations. As we continue to grow and improve our courses, we look to you since you are the ones going through the experience. It helps us change the lens we are looking through and better understand the needs of our students.
Also, a big thank you to our research clients for trusting us to support your company’s qualitative research ventures. We look forward to continuing these relationships.
Part of RIVA’s mission is to pass along the skills and techniques we have learned through conducting research, from our students, and/or other learning opportunities. As part of this, RIVA was a guest speaker for one of UGA’s MMR program courses. We are proud to continue our partnership with QRCA, Insights Association, and Burke Institute to offer researchers even more professional development opportunities. RIVA will be offering webinars in 2025 through the QRCA Qualology platform. Additionally, along with QRCA and Burke Institute we can award training scholarships thought the Lloyd J. Harris Memorial Scholarship Fund, as well as QRCA and Insights Association (IA) for the Naomi Henderson Legacy Awards. Congratulations again to the 2024 winners of the NHLAs: Daniel and Julianna!
In 2025, RIVA is excited to offer our core fundamentals courses and a variety of specialty courses to help researchers at every stage of their career. As well RIVA offers custom training to organizations looking to train a team at the same time or focus on a particular skill set.
P.s. I hope to see many of you at the QRCA Conference in February!
